We welcome you to join us for our North Shore Community Kirtan Spring Season gathering in Salem, MA
Kirtan is a community based gathering for connecting hearts and minds and discovering your true nature thru breath, sound and meditation. We chant Maha Mantras and songs that invocate clear consciousness and auspicious spirits. The community shares a common creation with vibrations that cause a call and response reaction from chanting. We hope you will enjoy this experience with us.
This Months Featured Artist: Lee Mirabai Harrington
(with back up musicians to be announced)
Lee Mirabai Harrington is a vocalist, sound healer, yogi, author and teacher who has been on the path of mantrayana (liberation through sound/mantra) for decades. She has sung mantras for His Holiness the 17th Karmapa at Madison Square Garden and for Amma at Amritapuri ashram in India. With a musical background in classical Indian vocals, opera and gospel, Lee loves to lead authentic, high-spirited, and deeply healing kirtans, combining the metta and wisdom energies of Buddhist mantras with the heart-opening euphoria of the devotional Bhakti tradition. Her practice of Tibetan Medical mantra also adds an authentic level of healing and purification to the experience
Lee’s critically-acclaimed debut album BEYOND THE BEYOND: A MANTRA MUSIC EXPERIENCE was included on multiple “best-of” conscious music lists of 2016 and placed on the iTunes world music charts. Known for her warmth, humor and profoundingly healing voice, Lee leads kirtans, mantrayana workshops and “mantra medicine” workshops at dharma centers, spiritual retreat centers, yoga studios and festivals worldwide, including Bhakti Fest, Shakti Fest, Ahimsa Music Festival, Lovelight, Sivananda Ashram Bahamas, Yogaville, Integral Yoga NYC, Omega Institute, Kripalu, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery, and many more.

Call and Response Foundation to help full-fill their world mission.
The Call & Response Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to serving and expanding the mantra music community. The mission is to share the experience of chanting with one million people by 2020. Their vision is to raise consciousness on the planet through mantra!
The foundation started in 2010 with a dream… Three people who felt more vibrant, calm, and connected through kirtan, the ancient sanskrit practice of call and response chanting, decided to share the practice with as many people as possible!
Now, the staff works to connect sacred sound musicians in outreach programs like universities, prisons, psychiatric facilities, refugee communities, shelters, and more so that they can offer free conscious music to participants.
